Odia is possible, but XP does not support it now. I tried to write an odia IME and when I tried to put that dll in the system directory, It did not accept saying that the file is used by the system. The only way is to use it is to boot in the safe mode and put the dll in the system directory and delete the safe mode history in the command prompt. OOPS. Sorry.. too much geek things. Then you can use it. Linux is straight foreward as it is open source and you can do anything.

Or use free softwares. I like the dhwanI from www.odia.org . Here you can type in English and it automatically converts into Odia.

Actually, I work for a translation services company, and my client, a major multinational software developer wants to develop their software in Oriya, but we're having trouble finding translators. If you could help me find one, I'd be much obliged.
